Dulles Corridor New Extension

Sustainable Design
Expected to serve approximately 85,700 passengers a day by 2030, the Dulles Corridor Metrorail Extension Project (also known as the Silver Line) is a 23-mile extension for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), which serves Washington, DC and parts of Maryland and Virginia. Sustainable design elements include a passenger environment infused with natural light and engineered for maximum natural ventilation, along with the selection of environmentally responsible materials.
Highest Quality Standards
Phase 2 of the project is the construction of a rail yard within Dulles Airport – the largest rail yard and maintenance facility in the WMATA system. Cornerstone’s role is to help address and document all quality issues for the construction of this rail yard. We develop and maintain tools to track progress of construction activities, identify problems, and follow up on the resolution of those problems, ensuring that all work adheres to the highest quality standards.
